As of 2022, Gartner includes companies who compete in the AST Market with at least two types of the following technologies; Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), Interactive Application Security Testing (IAST), and Software Composition Analysis (SCA).
Many people are familiar with using SAST and SCA tools during the early application development process, but these solutions lose visibility into security vulnerabilities created when the code is deployed to a running application. Invicti Security specializes in DAST and IAST products designed for this specific use case.
